Care Worker FAQs
Are you looking for a job which makes a difference?
Not considered caring before? Interested, but have questions about being a carer?
Here are a few questions about being a carer we are regularly asked by prospective carers. If you have other questions not answered here, please contact us on 01903 264089 and you can chat through the role with a member of our team.
Alternatively why not visit our shop at 54 – 56 South Street, Tarring, Worthing, West Sussex, BN14 7LS where you can speak to our recruitment team and also members of our existing care staff.
Am I guaranteed my hours each week?
We ask each staff member to let us know their “available” hours and base your contract on this. We then guarantee 80% of those hours, irrespective of how many hours you actually work – so if you are available to work 40hrs per week, we will pay you for a minimum of 32hrs even if we have only given you, say, 20hrs of work in that week.
How confident can I be that I’ll be given work for all or most of my “available” hours?
Very confident; most of our staff end up working all their available hours – and sometimes more if they want to.
I’d like to talk to someone who already works for Care2Connect before I decide whether to join the company; Can I do this?
Absolutely; just call our office and our team will put you in touch with a couple of our care staff – one who has been with us for a while and one who has joined us more recently.
Do I have to work weekends and, if so, how often?
We do expect all our staff to work alternate weekends.
